Tours take place whatever the weather. We’ll provide you with warm neoprene gear. Should tours be unable to go ahead for safety reasons (such as extreme weather or flooding), we’ll let you know in advance.
Tours take place daily during the times stated (see tour description), subject to a minimum number of participants. If your preferred date is no longer available on the online schedule, please contact us by email.
All tours require a minimum number of participants. This is usually 4 people. If there are fewer than this, please simply enquire by email or telephone. Of course, you are also welcome to join any of the tours as a single participant.
Please arrive at our base camp on time and allow for any traffic delays or breaks during your journey. Please understand that we cannot keep the other guests waiting and that the tours will start as booked. If you are unable to make it on time for the agreed meeting, please do ensure you contact us by telephone in advance.
Rafting in Styria: Depending on the tour, the maximum group size we can accommodate at any one time is between 80 and 120 people. Canyoning: The maximum group size is around 20–30 people, depending on the tour. For more challenging tours, the group size may be lower, or the groups may need to be staggered slightly. Kayaking: For kayaking courses, we can run a maximum of 3 courses simultaneously, each with 8 people.
Our largest rafting boats can accommodate up to 10 people plus a guide. Any additional participants are simply split across several boats. We have rafts in various sizes for 4–10 people. For canyoning, groups are limited to a maximum of 8 people (easy to moderate tours); for difficult tours, the group size is smaller. For kayaking courses and SUP sessions, one kayaking instructor supervises a maximum of 8 people per group.
At our camp, you’ll find modern, heated shower and changing facilities with toilets.
The safety of our guests is our top priority. We use modern and well-maintained safety equipment on all our tours. Our guides are certified and trained for all tours and regularly take part in both compulsory and voluntary in-house training courses.
You’ll find the exact meeting point for your tour in your booking confirmation. You can find the addresses of our camps on our website under the ‘How to get here’ section. There you’ll also find instructions on how to get there by public transport.

You can safely store your valuables and car keys at our base camps whilst you’re out on a tour.
On some tours, we take photos, which you can of course have sent to you afterwards. You’re, of course, welcome to bring your own waterproof cameras or action cameras. GoPro mounts are already fitted to some helmets.
At our Salza Base Camp, you can order snacks such as pizza and so on. There are good restaurants and inns in the vicinity of every base camp. We’d be happy to provide recommendations either in advance or when you arrive.
You’ll find selected partners not far from our outdoor camps listed among our accommodation suggestions. At our Salza Base Camp, we also offer 6 comfortable rooms and 2 shared rooms. In addition, we have apartments and double rooms with a communal kitchen, which are just a 2-minute walk from the base camp.
We organise the transfers for rafting tours and kayaking courses. We have a small fleet of minibuses and a 50-seater coach. For canyoning, we travel to the gorge in private cars. For kayaking courses, we may also need to use a participant’s private car to transport the coach.
