The landscape and region in and around the Gesäuse National Park are ideal for organising school sports weeks and project days.

Travelling by coach is ideal: the guide price for a coach journey from Linz to Palfau and back is €1,100 for a 50-seater coach (further details available on request). For example, travel from Tyrol/Salzburg or Vorarlberg by train to Linz and then continue by coach. It is possible to travel by train to Hieflau, Landl and Kleinreifling.

Sports activities in the Salzatal valley

Half-day raft-building: The aim is to build a seaworthy raft at Landl swimming lake. Rafting planks, ropes and wooden components are provided for the construction.
Team Day: Exciting exercises challenge participants and foster team spirit.
Stand-up Paddleboarding: Participants practise maintaining a stable position on the SUP and learn paddling and steering techniques.
High ropes course: The high ropes course offers a varied sports programme at heights of between 3 and 14 metres.
Kayaking course: The kayaking course covers seating position, paddle grip, paddling techniques and staying on course.
Rafting: Gentle rapids ensure plenty of fun and variety.
3D archery: Various figures have been set up in the forest to serve as targets.

Sports facilities at Hochkar

Cave tour: An exciting journey into the earth’s interior awaits us on the tour through the Hochkar Cave.
Sport climbing: There is an indoor climbing wall at JUFA Hochkar. This course teaches climbing techniques and how to belay correctly.

High ropes course: The high ropes course offers a varied programme of activities at heights ranging from 3 to 14 metres.
Kayaking course: The kayaking course covers seating position, paddle grip, paddling techniques and staying on course.
