Gesäuse Explorer

A fantastic rafting adventure on two of Austria’s most beautiful rivers.

You’ll experience spectacular whitewater and fantastic cliff-jumping spots on the Salza River, along with a breakfast buffet and a barbecue buffet. On the second day, we’ll head to the powerful Enns River, where, in addition to exciting rapids, we’ll enjoy a canyon hike through the impressive Bruckgraben Gorge. After the tour, we’ll round off the adventure with a traditional snack featuring regional specialties.

  • Day 1 – Rafting tour on the Salza
After you arrive at Base Salza, you’ll enjoy a hearty breakfast buffet before the tour begins. Well fortified, we’ll set off on our Salza “Special” rafting tour, one of our most popular tours on one of Europe’s most scenic white-water rivers. The Salza is characterised by crystal-clear water, varied rapids and some great jumping spots for the adventurous. Later in the afternoon, we’ll return from our adventure and round off the day with a cosy barbecue in the outdoor dining area of our base camp.

  • Day 2 – Rafting tour on the Enns
On the second day, the programme features a rafting tour on the Enns, which takes us right through the heart of the Gesäuse National Park. The tour offers fantastic white water with some challenging sections such as the “Gesäuse Eingang” and the “Schlusskatarakt”, but also some calmer stretches that invite you to take a dip or simply enjoy the beautiful mountain panorama. Another highlight is our walk from the banks of the Enns through the imposing and deeply carved Bruckgraben Gorge – an unforgettable experience of nature. At the end of the tour, a Gesäuse gourmet snack awaits, featuring numerous specialities from the National Park region.
