The Best of Stag Rafting

White-water rafting in the Gesäuse – action, nature and unforgettable experiences

To ensure an unforgettable stag do, we’d be delighted to put together a bespoke programme for you. Alongside the rafting trip, we’ll organise everything to ensure there’s plenty of food and drink, help you find accommodation (from alpine huts to 4-star hotels) and much more.

  • Private group with an exclusive guide just for you
  • Individual requests and fun activities can be incorporated where possible
  • A small selection of fun costumes – so that the ‘lucky ones’ are instantly recognisable even whilst rafting
  • Catering as well as tips on local restaurants and other activities
  • Help with finding accommodation and planning the supporting programme
  • Rafting trips on the Enns in the Gesäuse National Park

The Enns is the perfect choice, particularly in spring (May to early June), for anyone looking to experience powerful white water and extra thrills in a raft. More powerful rapids, more adrenaline and an intense white-water experience make this river particularly popular.

Our half-day tour on the Enns lasts around 3.5 to 4 hours and takes place twice a day.

For anyone looking for an even more exciting experience, we recommend the Enns ‘Special’ tour: In addition to the rafting tour, we’ll explore the impressive Bruckgraben Canyon. Afterwards, you can refuel with our Gesäuse gourmet snack featuring regional specialities.
Duration: approx. 5–6 hours
Start time: mornings only

  • Rafting trips on the Salza – the perfect stag party fun

The Salza is one of the most beautiful rivers in the Alps: crystal-clear water, varied white water and numerous jumping spots ensure plenty of fun and variety. Ideal for mixed groups who want to spend an action-packed day together amidst stunning natural surroundings.

The half-day tour on the Salza also lasts around 3.5 to 4 hours and is offered twice daily.

Our Salza “Special” tour is particularly popular for stag and hen parties:
The day begins with a leisurely rafters’ brunch at our camp, before we set off to explore the Salza on an extended route. When water levels are low, fun rafts for 3–4 people can be used as an alternative. Along the way, there’s plenty of time for little games, swimming stops and relaxed drink breaks right by the river. To round off the day, a generous barbecue buffet awaits you at our base camp.
Duration: approx. 6 hours
Start time: 10.30 am

If you’re looking for suitable accommodation: Right at the starting point of the tour is the Freelife Guesthouse, which offers cosy 2–4-bed rooms or dormitories, including breakfast.

Alternatively, the Freelife Apartments are available: two fully equipped apartments, each with two double bedrooms and a private kitchen, or two double bedrooms for a maximum of two people with a shared kitchen.

You can find further accommodation options here.
