As the tour is heavily dependent on water levels, safety is our top priority in the event of rain or bad weather. Should the route not be safe to navigate, our ‘Funtastic’ tour offers an equally exciting alternative route.

Meeting point and how to get there
The meeting point for this tour is our Camp Salza, where you will be provided with all the necessary canyoning equipment (wetsuit and jacket, neoprene socks, canyoning harness, helmet and shoes). We will then drive for around 20 minutes to the tour’s starting point. After a roughly 15-minute approach and a detailed safety briefing from your guides, the adventure in the gorge begins. Right at the start, you’ll encounter some small slides and the first fun sections, before coming across a special highlight quite early on: the tour’s highest jump, from a height of around 5 metres into a small pool – a real test of courage, which can optionally be bypassed or abseiled down.
Natural slides and idyllic natural pools
As you continue, you’ll encounter a variety of slides, short abseil sections and a series of smaller jumps as you make your way step by step through the gorge. The combination of water, rock and nature makes for an intense yet playful experience.
Who can take part?
Overall, the tour is very beginner-friendly and is therefore ideal for anyone wishing to try canyoning for the first time. Due to the tour’s water-intensive nature, it cannot take place in the event of rain or adverse weather conditions for safety reasons. In this case, we’ll do the ‘Funtastic’ tour instead.

Back at camp, heated changing rooms and shower facilities are available. Afterwards, the outdoor dining area awaits….
Professional Adidas canyoning shoes are, of course, included in the equipment package.

Accommodation options

If you’re looking for suitable accommodation: right at the starting point of the tour is the Freelife Guesthouse, offering cosy 2–4-bed rooms or dormitories, with breakfast included.

Alternatively, the Freelife Apartments are available: two fully equipped apartments, each with two double bedrooms and a private kitchen, or two double bedrooms for a maximum of two people with a shared kitchen.

FAQ

Do I need any prior experience for canyoning?
No. The tour is ideal for beginners. Our guides explain everything step by step.
What do I need to bring?
Swimwear, a towel. If you wear glasses, a glasses strap (also available to buy on site).
What equipment do you provide?
We provide a wetsuit and socks, as well as shoes, a harness and a helmet.
Does the tour go ahead in bad weather or rain?
Yes – canyoning generally goes ahead even in the rain. In the event of extreme conditions (e.g. severe flooding, severe weather) or water levels that are too high, we will contact you in advance. How long does the tour last?
The tour lasts a total of approx. 4–5 hours, including preparation and transfer.
Can I bypass individual sections if I don’t feel confident?
On this tour, it is possible to bypass some of the slides and jumps. Unfortunately, the higher abseil section cannot be bypassed.
Is there a minimum number of participants per tour?
For a tour to take place, we require at least 4 participants per session. Individuals or small groups are always welcome – we’ll pair participants with suitable groups on site so that you’re out and about with other guests.
Is there a maximum number of participants per tour?
Thanks to our extensive facilities, we can accommodate group sizes of up to approx. 32 people per time slot.
Is canyoning safe?
Yes. Safety is our top priority. Our guides provide professional supervision and instruction and meet all safety standards.
How does transport work?
We usually require you to provide your own private vehicles for the transfer. However, the rafting buses are often available for transport as well.
What happens to my valuables?
These can be safely stored in the vehicles. The guides will take the keys.
Are there changing rooms and showers?
Yes, these facilities are available at our base.
Can I take part if I have physical limitations?
Please make sure to discuss any health or physical limitations with us in advance so that we can cater for your individual needs.
