Jumping, sliding, abseiling – canyoning is all about pure adventure in the heart of nature. On this private tour, a personal guide will accompany you exclusively and ensure you have an unforgettable experience.

    … is our Camp Salza. There you’ll be kitted out with all the necessary equipment – comprising a wetsuit and jacket, neoprene socks, a canyoning harness and a helmet – and get to know your guides. Afterwards, we’ll set off together on your chosen tour: either the “Funtastic” or the Taglesbach.
  • Taglesbach – Canyoning with all the trimmings
    This varied tour offers numerous natural water slides leading into crystal-clear pools, as well as several jumping opportunities at different heights. Those who’d rather not jump can be abseiled down by the guides at any time. A particular highlight is abseiling down a winding waterfall – an unforgettable experience!
    The journey from Camp Salza to the gorge is by private car and takes around 45 minutes.
  • Funtastic – ideal for beginners
    The ‘Funtastic’ tour is perfect for anyone wanting to try canyoning for the first time. The idyllic forest gorge is just a few minutes’ walk from the camp and boasts an easy approach. You can look forward to lots of fun water slides as well as several abseiling sections. The grand finale is an approximately 18-metre-high waterfall, which provides a real sense of adventure.

If you’re looking for suitable accommodation: right at the starting point of the tour is the Freelife Guesthouse, offering cosy 2–4-bed rooms or dormitories, with breakfast included.

Alternatively, the Freelife Apartments are available: two fully equipped apartments, each with two double bedrooms and a private kitchen, or two double bedrooms for a maximum of two people with a shared kitchen.

  • Do I need any prior experience for canyoning?
    No. The tour is ideal for beginners. Our guides explain everything step by step.
  • What do I need to bring?
    Swimwear, a towel. If you wear glasses, a glasses strap (also available to buy on site).
  • What equipment do you provide?
    We provide a wetsuit and socks, as well as shoes, a harness and a helmet.
  • Does the tour go ahead in bad weather or rain?
    Yes – canyoning generally goes ahead even in the rain. In the event of extreme conditions (e.g. extreme flooding, severe weather) or water levels that are too high, we will contact you in advance. If a tour cannot take place for safety reasons, no cancellation fees will apply. In exceptional cases, it may happen that
  • How long does the tour last?
    The tour lasts a total of approx. 4–5 hours, including preparation and transfer.
  • Can I bypass individual sections if I don’t feel confident?
    On this tour, it is possible to bypass some of the slides and jumps. Unfortunately, the higher abseil section cannot be bypassed.
  • Is there a minimum number of participants per tour?
    For a tour to take place, we require at least 4 participants per session. Individuals or small groups are always welcome – we’ll pair participants with suitable groups on site so that you’re out and about with other guests.
  • Is there a maximum number of participants per tour?
    Thanks to our extensive facilities, we can accommodate group sizes of up to approximately 32 people per time slot.
  • Is canyoning safe?
    Yes. Safety is our top priority. Our guides provide professional supervision and instruction and meet all safety standards.
  • How does transport work?
    We usually require you to provide your own private vehicles for the transfer. However, the rafting buses are often available for transport as well.
  • What happens to my valuables?
    These can be safely stored in the vehicles. The guides will take the keys.
  • Are there changing rooms and showers?
    Yes, these facilities are available at our base.
  • Can I take part if I have physical limitations?
    Please be sure to discuss any health or physical limitations with us in advance so that we can cater for your individual needs.
