Zambezi Rafting Trip

Rafting on the Zambezi – an extraordinary adventure trip to one of the world’s most spectacular and impressive rafting rivers.

Rafting on the Zambezi – an adventure trip to the world’s most spectacular rafting river

The Zambezi is one of Africa’s largest river systems and is regarded as one of the world’s most spectacular rivers for rafting. Warm water, challenging rapids and breathtaking scenery make it an extraordinary adventure for white-water enthusiasts. We have been running this tour for 20 years now, and for every guest, this trip has been a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The 3-day tour is suitable for beginners, as the rapids are short and intense, always followed by calm stretches. The water temperature is pleasantly warm; rather than wetsuits, we’ll need plenty of sun cream.
But the programme isn’t just about the rafting trip: we’ll visit Chobe National Park, renowned for its unusually large population of hippos and elephants, where we’ll go on a river and off-road tour. A visit to an African village – whose residents know us quite well by now – a sunset cruise on the upper Zambezi and a few more adventures (which can be booked as add-ons) round off this trip.
    • Swimming beneath the impressive Victoria Falls

Right at the foot of the majestic Victoria Falls – Africa’s largest and most impressive waterfalls – is where our extraordinary adventure begins. Here, the mighty Zambezi forms the natural border between Zambia and Zimbabwe and leads us deep into the spectacular Batoka Gorge.

Together, we’ll conquer some of the world’s most famous rapids: Names such as ‘Stairway to Heaven’, ‘Devil’s Toilet Bowl’ and the ‘3 Ugly Sisters’ are enough to give you goosebumps and guarantee pure action on the water.

    • Multi-day tour on the world’s best rafting river

Our expedition goes far beyond classic day trips. For three days, we’ll experience the Zambezi in its most pristine form, before the tour ends at the Lower Moemba rapids.

After intense days on the water, relaxing evenings await us on the Zambezi’s stunning white sandy beaches. Gathered round the campfire, we’ll reflect on the day’s adventures – accompanied by a cold beer or a glass of wine. Our crew will take care of your culinary needs with freshly prepared meals three times a day.

    • Safari in Chobe National Park: amongst lions and elephants

As well as rafting on the Zambezi, this trip offers further unforgettable highlights. Of course, we’ll also visit the spectacular Victoria Falls on the Zimbabwean side.

Another highlight is the safari in the famous Chobe National Park in Botswana. The national park is situated on the Chobe River near the borders with Namibia, Zambia and Botswana and is considered one of the best places in Africa for wildlife viewing.

With a bit of luck, we’ll encounter elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, hyenas and many other wild animals in their natural habitat. As well as a boat safari on the river, we’ll also go on an exciting game drive straight through the national park.
